Having been infrequent gym goer, I decided to invest in some personal training to maintain my enthusiasm and make the most of my gym membership. David helped me prepare for the Manchester 10k run, something I would never have previously contemplated, with a combination of gym work and outdoor running, and I ran it in less than 55 minutes after only three months training. Following the run, he revised my programme and included some private Boxercise classes to vary my routine and maintain my enthusiasm. He then supported me through my pregnancy, enabling me to keep exercising safely up to my due date which I believe contributed to to speedy post baby recovery and quick weight loss.
I was one of those people with a gym membership that was never quite used enough. I found David on google, determined to lose weight, tone up and get fit for once and all. Largely due to David's perfect combination of diverse training methods, individualised exercise programs and challenging yet achievable goal setting, I achieved results that were beyond my initial expectations. He is professional and committed and his easy going, friendly personality creates a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere that motivates me to push past my perceived limits to get results. I always used to be quite fit and exercised alot but after a tough year I found I had 'accidentally' put on quite a bit of weight. I was the biggest I had ever been and was pretty miserable, which was no good when I was supposed to be planning a wedding! I completely lacked confidence and had all but given up hope when my sister booked me in for some sessions with David as a christmas present.
Since then I have literally not looked back. I have been training with David for six months now and we are halfway there to the wedding but the training has been about a lot more than one day.
We run, boxercise, use the gym, skip, do weights and anything that helps my weight loss and toning aims. And in six months my confidence and general happiness has gone through the roof because of the achievements we have made. David has been with me every step of the way, supporting, encouraging and pushing me to work my hardest because he understands what it means to me. Last month I ran the Manchester 10k in 52 minutes and I could never have done that without his support.
Personal Training was the best way forward for me, a tailored programme that fits around my hectic life with someone who knows where I am trying to get to and can get me there. People who know me see the difference in me physically but also in my outlook on life which comes from having the training support which means you just never give up.
I can't wait to walk down the aisle, I know I will be looking and feeling my absolute best and I certainly thank David for that.
